After two successful years running early season training camps in Lanzarote it would be stupid not to return, so plans are now in place for the 2015 Lanzarote Triathlon Training camps. Once again Mark Racher and I will be offering two separate weeks of swim, bike and run training based at the Sands Beach Resort in Costa Teguise. The first week will run from Saturday 21st February to Saturday 28th February 2015, the second will run from Saturday 28th February to Saturday 7th March 2015. Full details are available on the Lanzarote Triathlon Training Camp page.
Both weeks will follow the tried and tested formula of the last two years. There’ll be a one-to-one swim session and video analysis early in the week and coached swim sessions every day. Daily planned rides supported by Mark and myself, including the full Ironman course and a time trial up Tabayesco. Swim and bike are the backbone of our camp, but running isn’t neglected – there are opportunities to run most days and we always have a race at the start of the week. Finally, as it was so much fun this year, there will be a sprint team relay triathlon for some friendly competition midweek.
The camps are open to a wide range of athletic abilities from relative beginners through to Kona qualifiers. We’ve successfully supported both, adapting the heavy schedule to suit individual needs and goals with a focus on productive training. When the training’s done Sands Beach offers a relaxing environment to recover in; we’re a sociable camp and dinner is often followed by a quick trip to the bar, we like to keep training in balance. The easiest way to see what life is like on camp is to read my blog posts from the past two years.
Places are currently available on either week of camp. If you are interested or want more details, then please email me to find out more.
