Cheers Warren,

The K-Swiss shoes are in the bag, I'll be racing in them with socks on (I always wear socks). As for blisters I guess it's a possibility, but I've not had blisters in a long time. I figure the chances of these shoes doing more damage than any others is pretty slim. As I say I've never broken in new shoes just got on and run in them.

We'll know the answer either way tomorrow!

Possible new shoes for the race!! You're a brave man. Does the small but likely upside of wearing the K-swiss outweigh the low possibility but high negative impact of wearing new shoes? Guess with so little running recently, you're legs and feet are not going to like running 26 miles in anything so a change of shoe has less effect as they're not used to being out for that long!! Take some blister patches along just in case there are any pressure points you can't feel yet - a mistake I've made in the past when I realised running 13 miles without socks is not the same as running 6!

Anyway, have a bloody good race Russ - expecting a cracking swim and strong bike and just hang in there on what could well be the hardest run you've ever done!! Will be tracking you on the IM tracker.
