This week’s triathlon swim plans continue the theme of catch development on Wednesday and switch to the back end of the stroke with kick work on Thursday.

Lot’s of doggy paddle in Wednesday’s session. Useful to emphasise and practice a high elbow and develop a feel for that initial catch against the water. This session is quite steady, without hard efforts, the focus is on working that technique.

No drills in this Thursday’s session, but a lot of time spent kicking both with and without the arms. A simple session to complete, but hard on triathletes who don’t like using their legs.
